- Coordinate and manage monthly payroll processing together with external payroll providers.
- Review payroll data for accuracy, completeness and compliance with legal and company requirements.
- Maintain employee master data and all payroll-related documentation.
- Process salary adjustments, bonuses, allowances, variable compensation and other payroll-relevant changes.
- Manage payroll-related onboarding and offboarding activities.
- Serve as the primary contact for employees and managers regarding payroll, wage tax and social security matters.
- Coordinate with tax authorities, social security institutions and external service providers.
- Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations and analyses for HR and Finance.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Drive the continuous improvement and digitalisation of payroll processes.
- Support international payroll projects and contribute to the implementation of standardized payroll processes across Europe.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour law, tax and social security regulations.

- Successfully completed vocational training or a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in payroll administration.
- Sound knowledge of German payroll, wage tax and social security legislation.
- Practical experience with DATEV Payroll or comparable payroll systems.
- Experience working with external payroll providers.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and a structured, detail-oriented working style.
- High level of discretion, reliability and integrity.
- Excellent German and good English language skills, both written and spoken.
