Entwicklung funktionaler Sicherheitskonzepte: Ausarbeitung und Umsetzung von funktionalen Sicherheitskonzepten und -architekturen für Mobilkrane und deren Subsysteme gemäß ISO 13849, IEC 61508 sowie relevanter Maschinenrichtlinien
Sicherheitsanforderungen über den Produktlebenszyklus: Analyse, Definition und Nachverfolgung sicherheitsrelevanter Anforderungen über alle Phasen der Produktentwicklung – von der Konzeptphase bis zur Serienfreigabe
Risiko- und Gefährdungsanalysen: Durchführung von Gefährdungs- und Risikoanalysen, einschließlich HARA (sofern anwendbar), FMEA und FTA, mit Fokus auf kranspezifische Funktionen
Definition von Sicherheitszielen: Ableitung von Sicherheitszielen, technischen Sicherheitsanforderungen und Sicherheitsfunktionen in enger Zusammenarbeit mit System-, Software- und Hardware-Teams
Dokumentation & Zertifizierung: Erstellung und Pflege sicherheitsrelevanter Dokumentationen sowie aktive Unterstützung von Zertifizierungs-, Konformitäts- und Zulassungsprozessen für Mobilkrane
Internationale Zusammenarbeit: Enge Abstimmung mit internationalen Entwicklungsteams, insbesondere in China, sowie Koordination externer Partner und Prüfinstitute
Wissensvermittlung: Interne Schulungen und fachliche Unterstützung von Kollegen zu Themen der funktionalen Sicherheit und relevanten Normen
Validierung & Erprobung: Begleitung von Prototypen- und Feldtests sowie Bewertung der sicherheitsrelevanten Funktionen im Rahmen von Validierungsaktivitäten

Kenntnisse und Fähigkeiten

Abgeschlossenes technisches Studium, z. B. Elektrotechnik, Maschinenbau, Mechatronik oder vergleichbar
Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung im Bereich funktionale Sicherheit für mobile Arbeitsmaschinen, Nutzfahrzeuge oder Automotive
Sehr gute Kenntnisse relevanter Normen und Richtlinien (insbesondere ISO 13849, IEC 61508; ISO 26262 von Vorteil)
Praktische Erfahrung mit Sicherheitsanalysen wie FMEA, FTA und Gefährdungs- bzw. Risikobeurteilungen
Erfahrung in Sicherheitsbewertungen, Audits und Zusammenarbeit mit Zertifizierungsstellen
Selbstständige, strukturierte Arbeitsweise sowie hohes Verantwortungsbewusstsein
Verhandlungssichere Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift; Deutschkenntnisse von Vorteil
Bereitschaft zu internationalen Dienstreisen

Your mission

Functional safety concept development: Design and implement functional safety concepts and architectures for mobile cranes and their subsystems in compliance with ISO 13849, IEC 61508, and applicable machinery regulations
Safety requirements across the lifecycle: Analyze, define, and track safety-related requirements throughout the entire product development lifecycle, from concept phase to series release
Hazard and risk analysis: Perform hazard and risk assessments, including HARA (where applicable), FMEA, and FTA, with a focus on crane-specific safety functions
Definition of safety goals: Derive safety goals, technical safety requirements, and safety functions in close cooperation with system, software, and hardware engineering teams
Documentation & certification: Create and maintain functional safety documentation and actively support certification, conformity assessment, and approval processes for mobile cranes
International collaboration: Work closely with international development teams, especially in China, and coordinate with external partners, suppliers, and certification bodies
Knowledge sharing: Provide internal training and technical support to colleagues on functional safety topics, standards, and best practices
Validation & testing: Participate in prototype and field testing, verifying and validating safety-related functions with a focus on functional safety

Your profile

Completed technical degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable field
Several years of experience in functional safety for mobile machinery, commercial vehicles, or automotive applications
Strong knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (especially ISO 13849 and IEC 61508; ISO 26262 is a plus)
Practical experience with safety analyses such as FMEA, FTA, and hazard and risk assessments
Experience with safety evaluations, audits, and collaboration with certification authorities
Structured, independent working style with a high sense of responsibility
Excellent English skills, written and spoken; German skills are an advantage
Willingness to travel internationally
